Livelihood & Entrepreneurship

Udhayam is our initiative focused on livelihood generation and entrepreneurship, aimed at promoting sustainable economic development in rural communities. Through this program, we work closely with farmers, artisans, and rural households to create sustainable livelihood opportunities. By encouraging innovation, strengthening traditional skills, and building market linkages, we strive to enhance economic stability while preserving local knowledge and resources.

Awareness Programs with Farmers

In collaboration with the Department of Integrated Rural Development and Management, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), we have organized over 50 awareness programs across Eastern Uttar Pradesh. These sessions focused on promoting non-traditional and organic farming practices, encouraging farmers to utilize wastelands and alternative crops for sustainable income generation.

Brainstorming Workshops for Rural Livelihoods

To encourage innovation and community participation, we have conducted interactive brainstorming workshops with farmers and villagers. These sessions provide a platform for knowledge sharing, discussion of challenges, and exploration of innovative farming techniques. Through these workshops, we promote market linkages, improved productivity, and sustainable agricultural practices, helping rural entrepreneurs build resilient and self sustaining livelihoods.

Artisan Promotion Programs

To support traditional artisans and strengthen rural craftsmanship, we organized a Hackathon focused on addressing key challenges faced by weavers and artisans. In collaboration with AIC-MFI-IM-BHU and local administration, we also conducted a proposition and innovation program aimed at developing practical solutions for artisan communities. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower artisans, preserve traditional crafts, and create sustainable economic opportunities in rural areas.

Job Fair Initiative

The organization regularly organizes job fairs across different locations to connect skilled youth with employment opportunities. Recently, a Job Fair in Varanasi focused on the banking sector witnessed participation from around 20 companies and more than 400 students. The event provided a platform for candidates to interact directly with employers and explore career opportunities. This job fair is part of our annual employment initiative by Uddhhmi group conducted in various locations to support youth placement and career development
